Fiberglass statue, internally empty and very light. It is suitable to be carried during the processions. The manufacturing is entirely manual. When the two parts are linked, there is the finishing of the statue and it is perfectly smoothed, then the statue goes through the coloring section. The skilled decorators hand paint using particolar varnishes, conforming to the traditional iconography. The fiberglass is a plastic material, very resistant and humidity absorber which is used in many sectors: industry, furnitures, building of boats, airplanes, vehicles, garden swimmingpool etc.
St. Ambros was an archibishop and he was also a Doctor of the Church. He is commemorated on the 7th of Decembre. He lived between 339 and 397.
He was born in Gallia where his father was the praetorian prefect. When he was very young he became a lawyer in Rome and when he was 35 years old he was named consular prefect or “governor” of Liguria and Emilia.
In 374 the bishop of Milan, Auxentius, died and Ambrose went to the church where the election was to take place, to prevent an uproar. The tradition tells us that His address was interrupted by a callo f a baby "Ambrose, bishop!”. On the 7th of December 374 he was proclaimed bishop of Milan. He was one of the most great bishops and he was a great administrator, writer and protector of the poors.
He held out the tyranny of the emperors.
He died on the Holy Saturday, the 4th of April 397.
He is illustrated in Episcopal clothing, with a hive to symbolize the sweetness of his oratory.
