Fiberglass statue, internally empty and very light. It is suitable to be carried during the processions. The manufacturing is entirely manual. When the two parts are linked, there is the finishing of the statue and it is perfectly smoothed, then the statue goes through the coloring section. The skilled decorators hand paint using particolar varnishes, conforming to the traditional iconography. The fiberglass is a plastic material, very resistant and humidity absorber which is used in many sectors: industry, furnitures, building of boats, airplanes, vehicles, garden swimmingpool etc.

Storia

Saint Lawrence martyr is commemorated on the 10th of August.

“The Passion” of St. Lawrence was written a century after his death, so it is not reliable.

It asserts that Saint Lawrence was martyrized three days after Pope Sito II’s death, who was martyrized

and killed. He was roasted on a broiler, but the modern researchers think that he was beheaded.

His martyrdom produced a deep impression in the roman Christians and his death was that of the idolatry in Rome.

Lawrence was buried in the “Campus Veranus”, where there it was built his Church.

He is illustrated in deacon clothes with a broiler.
