Full resin statue, printed and hand perfected by skilled artisans, who delete the imperfections. When the statue is perfectly smoothed it is carried to the coloring section, where it is hand painted with indelible varnishes, according to the classical iconography. The resini s a plastic material, which is solid thanks to hardener substances. It is resistant to the atmospheric agents. The difference with the fiberglass is that it does not contain the fiber.

Storia

Saint Joan of Arc, virgin, is named the “Maid of Orleàns”. She was born in Domremy, in Lorena, to some farmers.

When she was 17 years old, while she was in the fields, she heard some supernatural voices which ordered her to take the arms and to head the french army against the English. Charles VII entraste her a group of armed. Their achievements allowed her to be crown in Reims. She was captured by the Burgundists and delivered to the english. She was judged from an ecclesiastical court and sent to the stake as a heretic.

In 1456 her case was reexamined and Joan was recognized innocent. After many centuries, in 1909 she was beatificated and in 1920 she was canonized.

In 1922 she was proclaimed patron of France.

She is illustrated as a maiden who is wearing an armor and with a sword. Sometimes also with a helm.
